Our Team

Meet the team behind Euclid Farms - Woman Founded & Run

Founder and Creative Director, Shannon Whelan, grew up surrounded by nature in the Ottawa Valley where she spent summers exploring the outdoors.  After moving to Toronto to study English and History at the University of Toronto, she started growing flowers for pleasure in her small city yard on Euclid Avenue. Over time, her little business expanded into the shop and farm it is today!
Favouring garden-inspired style and wildly unexpected colours, some of Shannon’s favourite flowers include irises, narcissus, dahlias and MOST of all, sweet peas. She’s a dog lover, bubble bath taker, coffee chugger and showtune belter. In addition to being a florist and flower farmer, Shannon is a retired professional dancer, a dance educator, adjudicator and choreographer currently on the faculty at the Ontario School of Ballet (OSB) in Toronto.
When she isn't farming, flowering or dancing, she is spending time with her close friends and loved ones, often arguing over a board game.
Hilary spent several years in fashion retail before pursuing her love of flowers and joining the EF team. She loves flower delivery days at the shop and examining the colors and details of each new variety. In her downtime she’s most likely to be found walking her dog in High Park, at her family’s home in Prince Edward County or strolling her favorite neighborhood gardens. She is passionate about ice cream, bagel bombs, her friends and the de-stigmatization of carnations… they’re not just a grocery store flower!!
Chelsea initially joined the Euclid team in the fall of 2020 as a seasonal retail associate. Her favourite flowers are chrysanthemums, peonies, or teddy bear sunflowers (it's impossible to choose). She has no problem drinking up to 18 cups of coffee a day and will drop everything she is doing when a dog walks into the shop. In addition to handling our digital media, Chelsea also teaches Yoga and volunteers as a counsellor at Toronto Rape Crisis Center/Multicultural Women Against Rape (TRCC/MWAR).

Carly has been in the floral world for 4 1/2 years, she began with the passion for design,  the fascination for all plants and florals, and the support of The Canadian Institute of Floral Design.  Her favourite flowers include but are not limited to, Gardenia, Muscari, Tulips and Passion Flower. Carly has a knack for attention to the smaller details in life that keep everything in balance.

A great day to Carly is either out in nature with her camera and Dog, Bartleby capturing the wild side of things or inside with a good craft, “ I love creating a space that is my oasis, and that to me is always home”.

Caroline’s favourite flower is a daffodil. She loves to distract everyone in the shop with random nature and plant facts. Outside of farming flowers for EF, she also grows lots of vegetables and contributes to community gardens.

Elisha joined the Euclid Farm team in Fall 2021.
Her favourite flower is lavender, fresh or dried!

Elisha lives in the Trinity Bellwoods neighourhood with her husband and teenage stepson. During Covid she expanded her houseplant hobby and the family jokes that they live in a greenhouse now. Outside of caring for her houseplant babies, she enjoys gardening, cooking (especially recipes by Ina Garten) and interior design. She’s currently obsessed with antique vases and vintage rugs.
Emily's favourite flower is a butterfly ranunculus. She is currently finishing her degree at Ryerson University in the Early Childhood Studies program, and is a supply ECE at a child care centre in Toronto. In addition to her work and studies, she enjoys listening to music and going on walks with her friends!
Vanessa’s favourite flower is a rose. She is currently enrolled at the University of Toronto for cinema studies and history. When she isn’t reading, writing, or watching a movie, she teaches tap dance to young children.
