This breathtaking Venetian Murano glass mirror is a true treasure from the 1930s–1940s, crafted in the Rococo style and steeped in the artistry of Murano’s historic glassmaking tradition. The frame features shimmering opaline glass in a milky blue hue, delicately textured with raised star facets that catch the light beautifully. Surrounding the mirror are intricate glass blossoms—transparent and softly sprayed with pink—adding a romantic, ethereal charm.

The mirror itself is hand-etched at the top with a graceful floral motif and exhibits light age spotting, a gentle patina that speaks to its age and authenticity without distracting from its beauty. The back is crafted from solid wood, offering both a hanging hook and an easel, allowing the mirror to be displayed on a wall or elegantly propped atop a vanity or dresser.

This is what’s known as a Venetian mirror, cherished for its ornate detail and handcrafted construction. Mirrors of this kind were primarily manufactured in Murano’s old glass factories, and this piece is a lovely example of that legacy. Whether styled as a functional mirror or displayed purely for its artistic value, it brings timeless elegance to any interior.
